Wilsons Gourds first time vending our gourds 2002 Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Show, Mt. Vernon, IL – This was our first vending experience wtih out gourds. We had both wood burned and painted gourd items. Some folks were not impressed with the painted gourds. Some preferred wood burned. However, we have found both items currently appealing to our customer base. We are glad we followed our instincts and continue to thrive to create visually appealing gourd art both painted and wood burned.

Our first gourd convention at Clinton, IL Clinton High School 2007 – Wilsons Gourds has many gourd items for sale at the convention. We have lots of help from sons Brad and Paul B. and daughter in law Caylee. We also had a very large space to showcase our gourds and demonstrate. We returned the following year 2008 to enter competitions and win many awards.
